The Ammunition Container Clamp was developed as an ergonomic solution for a task in the workplace. This manually operated tool is designed to aid a technician in the difficult task of closing the lid of a watertight ammunition container.

The clamp sits on top of the lid with hooks that rest inside a groove on the side of the ammo tin. As the technician pushes the levers down, the hook applies a force that clamps the lid closed. The side “hinges” are then easily closed by hand, securing the lid to the ammunition container.

The clamp is made up of two separate clamping units that are joined by a profile section. The clamping units can be adjusted to accommodate slight differences in ammo tin sizes. The units are ergonomically designed with three different possible handle positions for optimal use preference. Interior torsion springs are used in conjunction with laser-cut components to both secure the clamping tool to the ammunition container and for user safety.
